About the Role:
HTS Constructions are seeking an experienced site-based Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Superintendent as part of our continued presence in the Northern Territory. This role is open to candidates based in Brisbane, Perth, Darwin and Alice Springs.
The E&I Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) work on the project site, including low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) systems. HTS are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in E&I construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation construction, with a focus on LV and HV systems. Previous experience in quality control, would be beneficial.
You'll be primarily based on one of our NT projects, on a 2:2 roster.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all E&I construction activities, including LV and HV works.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Lead, coach and develop a team of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors.
Provide daily oversight and support to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Provide technical guidance and support for E&I installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all E&I work.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure high standards are met.
Assist the Project Manager with estimating and tendering activities, as required.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Demonstrated experience (8+ years) in E&I / similar roles.
Minimum 5 years experience in mining or industrial environments.
Current Drivers Licence.
Estimating and tendering experience would be advantageous.
Familiarity with safety management systems and best practices.
