MEET THE HTS TEAM
Our Story
HTS Constructions was started by a group of tradesmen and engineers who knew there was a better way to build in remote areas. With all major trades in-house, we make projects easier to plan, manage, and deliver, with better control over quality, safety, costs and time. We get things done, we find win-win outcomes, and we are easy to work with. As a result, we have been invited back by the same clients across multiple mining and Pacific projects.
Our team has extensive experience across Mining, Defence, Government, Agriculture, and Remote Area Construction, delivering through our four main disciplines, Building & Structural, Electrical, Communications & Instrumentation (EC&I), Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMEP), and Civil & Infrastructure Works.
Over time, HTS has evolved from a hands-on construction crew into a professionally managed business with mature systems, structure, and leadership. We combine practical know-how with the capability of a major contractor, including proven FIFO workforce models that allow us to scale rapidly and support large teams on remote sites across Australia and the Pacific.
HTS Company Directors
In order from left to right: Dan Hunt, Cris Rielly, Blake Thackrah, Kian Bullock.
Cris Rielly (MD) joined HTS Constructions in 2023, bringing 20 years of high-level leadership experience. He specialises in strategic business management and operational oversight. His career foundation was built in Senior Management roles at Coca-Cola Amatil. He then progressed to General Management positions at major tier-one companies, including Haden Engineering, Honeywell, and Wilson Security, where he was responsible for large-scale operations and strategic growth before taking the lead at HTS.
Daniel Hunt specialises in delivering difficult electrical and construction projects in remote locations, managing the entire lifecycle from concept to user handover. His career is built on a 10-year foundation in the Australian Navy as an Electrical Technician on operational deployments. He then progressed through the mining construction industry, advancing from Electrical Supervisor to Construction and Project Manager. This led him to manage complex assignments in challenging environments across Australia and overseas for the resource sector.
Kian Bullock specialises in solving complex problems and achieving project objectives through effective team management, particularly in remote and international locations. His career is built on a 10-year foundation in the Australian Regular Army in the Royal Australian Engineers, including deployment to Aceh. After the Army, he managed large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK before returning to Australia. He then transitioned from client-side project management to remote construction, successfully delivering projects including mining camps in WA and Australian Government infrastructure on Nauru.
Blake Thackrah specialises in project management and quality assurance for remote infrastructure and commercial projects. His career is built on a strong foundation as a qualified plumber and senior plumbing supervisor with extensive international experience. As a Project Manager, he holds overall responsibility for the delivery of major water and piping works, managing budgets, manpower, and trade integration. He provides critical technical support to sub-contractors and liaises with engineers during the design process. Blake leads most of HTS's projects in WA.
