About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Tanami, NT to take lead of our team delivering Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) works.
Reporting directly to the SMP Superintendent, this role is responsible for supervising a mixed trades team delivering construction activities, in a remote location.
This role is available on a 2:2 roster with flights available from Brisbane, Perth, Darwin or Alice Springs only.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
Supervise and coordinate Civil & SMP works on-site, ensuring project milestones and safety standards are met
Provide hands-on leadership to crews, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk assessments, and site procedures.
Review technical drawings and plans to guide project execution.
Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
Support and mentor trades personnel to develop C/SMP capability within the team.
Manage site resources, including labour, plant, materials, and equipment, to optimise productivity.
Report on project progress and any potential issues to the SMP Superintendent.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate, must have the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Site Supervisor, or in a similar role within the construction or mining industry. Must have demonstrated experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Trade qualification in a relevant field (boilermaker, mechanical fitter, or similar).
Valid Drivers Licence.
Prior experience in DIDO / FIFO roles.
Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
Excellent understanding of C/SMP construction processes, standards, and best practices.
Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering projects on time.
Supervisor qualifications would be advantageous.
