About the Role
HTS Constructions is rapidly growing. Our commitment to quality and innovation has led to an expanding portfolio of projects. We are seeking an experienced SMP Superintendent to join our team in Tanami, NT to take lead of Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) operations.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing construction activities and building the SMP capability of the team for existing and upcoming works.
This role is a FIFO , on a 2:2 roster with flights available from Brisbane, Perth or Darwin.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
Lead and manage all aspects of Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) works on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Contribute and champion upskilling initiatives to build SMP capability amongst the team.
Manage and supervise the work of a multidisciplinary team, including contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
Monitor the work of SMP Supervisors and their teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality control, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with the client, employees and other stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and issues promptly addressed.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture on-site.
Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient execution of tasks.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during project execution.
Manage resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment, to optimise productivity.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the team fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate, will have the following qualifications and experience:
Proven experience as an SMP Superintendent or extensive experience at a Supervisory level in the construction, mining, or oil & gas industries.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Excellent understanding of SMP construction processes, standards, and best practices,
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering results on time and within budget.
Trade qualified or engineering background.
Diploma or Leadership & Management, Diploma of Project Management or equivalent experience.
