About the Role
HTS Constructions have a new opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced HSE Advisor to join our team in Tanami, in the Northern Territory.
This is a Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) role on a 2:2 rotation with flights available out of Brisbane, Perth, Darwin and Alice Springs only.
As a HSE Advisor, you will be tasked with leading the communication, implementation, monitoring and review of the IMS at the project level.
We are looking for a proactive advisor with mine-site and construction experience, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated digital literacy and a genuine interest in championing a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS Management Systems to elevate safety performance across the project.
Shape and support HSE strategies, ensuring a proactive approach to safety on-site.
Act as the main liaison for client HSE representatives, managing requests and fostering positive client relationships.
Lead engaging safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a proactive safety culture.
Perform site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying and addressing potential hazards swiftly.
Investigate incidents, oversee corrective actions, and ensure compliance with WHS regulations and industry standards.
Develop and coordinate emergency response plans, ensuring the team is prepared for any scenario.
Track and report HSE metrics, analysing trends to drive continuous improvement.
Support corporate WHS activities, contributing to company-wide safety initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate, will have the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum Certificate IV in WHS – A Diploma in WHS would be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a site based WHS role in mining or construction.
Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).
Current First Aid and CPR
Excellent knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, regulations and industry standards.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate safety risks.
Flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate changing priorities and demands.

Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
